This session aims to upskill early childhood practitioners in their engagement with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) families.

The workshop covers recent research on supporting and scaffolding home language.

Participants learn how to connect with and support young children and families with limited English in an out of home setting to help build their confidence, literacy skills and a strong sense of belonging.

Each participant also receives an educator toolkit containing picture books and literacy resources to support programming and literacy development.

This workshop is offered on the Victorian School Readiness Menu of Evidence.
