This session aims to upskill Early Childhood educators in practical strategies for increasing literacy rich daily practices to impact the language and literacy skills of young children.

The Social and Emotional Language workshop aims to

  • provide a foundation for early childhood educators and staff to better understand children’s emotions, emotional regulation, and social competencies.
  • Resources, tools, modelling behaviour and other strategies are shared that can help educators and staff promote and support social and emotional development.

 

Each participant receives an educators toolkit containing picture books to support story and playtime literacy-based activities.

This workshop is offered on the Victorian School Readiness Menu of Evidence.
